The Reflections Contest Results are in!!!

We had 108 Participants this year.

The 1st Place Awards of Excellence go to 

Samantha Jones in 12th grade for Visual Arts

Sydney Hawfield in 9th grade for Literature

The Reflection judges would like to thank all the talented students who participated this year.  As well as a thank you to our office administration, PTSA, ASB, parents and our English and Art departments for their encouragement and support of Reflections.

Prizes for all participants will be handed out next week!

Check out student work in the English building lobby, where it will be displayed in the coming weeks.

  • Jessica Kraus, writer-photographer-influencer, Hollywood philosopher, and Palisades/SMS/SCHS mom
  • Janet Schaller, Ceramicist + Holualoa, HI Art Gallery Owner
  • Sally Hummel, Palisades Yearbook Editor for 11 years
  • Becky Twardy, Art History baccalaureate and Palisades mom
  • Livia Hart, Nationally acclaimed and local Boutique Hotel Designer
  • Chuck Lipps, General Contractor of multiple Macy's Department Stores + retired surf board artist
  • Luan Sands, retired Kindergarten teacher

Reflections contest chaired by:

  • Annie Hyde, muralist + art enthusiast, a post-home-based art teacher, current CUSD Substitute Teacher and SMS, SCHS mom
